HCPro, Inc. has expanded into managed care publishing by acquiring National Health Information, LLC.
NHI, of Atlanta, GA, is a business-to-business healthcare publisher with subscription newsletters and books in managed care, and also in several of HCPro's core markets, such as health information management and long-term care. HCPro is purchasing all the assets of NHI, including 13 newsletters and ancillary products, several manuals and one directory.
HCPro will create a new managed care market, composed of NHI's newsletters that focus on payors and vendors affiliated with payors, such as disease management, capitation and consumer-driven healthcare. HCPro also plans to launch several additional products in this space in the next 12 months to complement the acquired publications.
