“good health is a fundamental resource for social and
economic development[1],”
as well as an inalienable right, Foundation PH (FPH), a
Swiss NGO, is dedicated to building critical health
knowledge and skills through health education and
training of the primary care providers. In partnership
with the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia,
FPH assists local institutions to build their capacity
and achieve sustainable improvements in the quality of
basic and essential health services. Our projects are

Annual Regional Conference
The third Regionals Conference on HIV and AIDS with a focus on gender, draws
almost 200 participants. With financial and technical
support from UN agencies (UNAIDS, UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF,
UNIFEM), GlobalFund, and our partners from country
ministries of health, infection disease specialists,
NGOS, PLHIV and representatives from
vulnerable group, FPH organized a two-day
program to exchange best-practice examples, acquire new
knowledge and skills, and to network. The Conference took place
in March 2008 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. For
