CRS is also exploring ways to support its members through the newly created CRS Foundation. Immediate Past President Randy Mrsny started the necessary work to begin the new CRS Foundation, the mission of which is to provide a durable source of financial support for the advancement of educational and organizational activities that enrich and extend the research and development of CR-associated technologies. Just as Randy passed the gavel to me in Long Beach, the same type thing has happened with the CRS Foundation. It's now my turn to work diligently to further the causes of the CRS Foundation. Examples of such activities include set up and support of fellowships, lectures, and awards honoring individuals who have made notable advances in the areas of CRS related to bioactive delivery technologies.
